Notre Dame Homecoming Oct 19, 1968 (ND 58, Illini 8)
Jene stayed with Paul and Nancy Godbout when she came to Notre Dame’s Homecoming in 1968. After she left, Nanny said to me, “Jimmy, SHE’S THE ONE.” Lesson for life: Always listen to your Nanny!

Where we went the night we got engaged. After midnight, I slipped a ring on her finger. (Yes, that would have made it the Ides of March!)

We painted Jene’s parents’ house to make money to pay for our wedding. Our wedding set us back $600, including Jene’s wedding dress, my tuxedo and the Honeymoon!
